LKC and Lancaster County Pet Magazine To Co-host Annual Responsible Dog Ownership Day - September 15 (Rain Date - September 22)

WHAT IS RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERSHIP DAY?

Each year, the American Kennel Club invites its more than 5,000 affiliated dog clubs, along with other pet-related organizations, to host Responsible Dog Ownership Days to help educate the public in their communities about the responsibilities of dog ownership and help current owners enhance their relations with their pets. These events consist of education booths, action packed dog demonstrations, games, activities to try out with your dog, micro-chipping, health clinics and more. Owning a dog has endless pleasures and rewards, but we all need a friendly reminder about the obligations we have to our pets in return.

The Lancaster Kennel Club is honored to be joined by Lancaster County Pet Magazine at our Responsible Dog Ownership Day at the Amos Herr Community Festival on September 15, 2019. There will be educational booths, demonstrations by the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department canines and two local Disc Dog competitors, and a micro-chipping clinic staffed by Landisville Animal Hospital.

We invite ALL members of the dog community including rescue groups, therapy groups, and vendors to come join in this event for the benefit of all our pet friends. This event is our community’s opportunity to provide educational information to the public on all the resources and opportunities available to them.

A detailed schedule to be posted when finalized.
